Join us for an evening of live music from Riva
Riva is a singer/songwriter from the south coast of England. She is known for her startlingly deep, expressive contralto vocals and the inclusion of an eclectic mix of musical genres within her repertoire, including soul, dance, pop, jazz, and rhythm and blues.
Returning to London after a successful tour abroad, she went into the studio to begin work on an original project alongside music industry legend Tom Misner, penning songs with song writing veterans Steve Lillywhite (U2, Oasis) and Stuart Crichton (Kesha, Selena Gomez, Katie Perry) on an exclusive song writing retreat in Montenegro, curated by LA publishing house Milk & Honey.
Rivas debut EP was recorded at the internationally renowned Abbey Road Studios by drum and bass producer Wickaman, and signed to London based independent label, Fame Music.
Heralded by UK paper The Mirror as “set for UK stardom after taking Ibiza by storm” with her first single, she set off on a national radio tour to promote her upcoming record, followed a whirlwind of festivals and events – including several crowds of 50,000 at the Sundown Music Festival alongside Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goudling, and Chase & Status.
Drawing artistic inspiration from Sade, Shakira, Amy Winehouse and Adele, Riva’s is a voice that consistently melts audiences and defies expectation.
