Aida
A deep and intense after dinner drink that will hug your palate. Classic, elegant and old in style, with hints of chocolate, spice, vanilla and a long finish that comes from the sweet Italian vermouth. ‘Aida’ is short for Aida Yespica, a famously known model from Venezuela, the home of Diplomatico.
Ly’s Punch
A refreshing and Mai Tai style, all day drink served with a long finish. Combining Mantuano Rum and crème de cacao, Ly’s Punch is a sweet surprise to the taste buds with a bit of Italian old style, maraschino cherry liquor, English touch of Kumm and sons aperitif of Manuka honey and gingerbread. Ly’s punch pays homage to the beautiful Venezuelan model and Miss Universe competitior, Ly Jonaitis.
La Grande Victoria
Originally created for the Diplomatico world tournament 2017, La Grande Victoria is a daiquiri style drink with a complex profile inspired by the 2006 Venezuela revolution with Chavez. It’s seductive flair merges sweet and sour flavours from Italian and spicy saffron liquor Strega, lime and lemon juice, Tonka beans from Guyana and Angostura, and infused with cacao beans from Mexico.
The three cocktails are launching just in time for LFW, perfect for a pre or post show drink! Diplomatico cocktails will be available from Friday 17th February until 3rd March 2017.
