Mirka Gregora, senior bartender at Quaglino’s, supplied this recipe for a Bloody Maria to The Artful Diner. It has a real kick and is 100% guaranteed to get you going, morning or evening! It is made with tequila rather than the vodka used in a Bloody Mary.
Ingredients: (makes one Bloody Maria)
40ml tequila
125ml tomato juice
5 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
3 dashes Tabasco
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper
1 tsp horseradish sauce
juice of ½ lemon
celery stick to garnish
Method:
Put all the ingredients apart from the celery stick into a cocktail shaker along with some ice. “Roll” [pouring back and forth] between two cocktail shakers to mix. Taste to check the seasoning and add the celery stick to garnish.
Enjoy.
